A Change of Art

This beautiful poem was shared by a  friend who inspires me as she cares for six young  grandchildren (two of her daughter-in-laws died last year). 
A CHANGE OF ART
 
I planned to paint a picture,
An extraordinary work of art.
I planned to write a poem
That would soften the hardest heart.
 
I planned to train a colt
